SSIP/401(k) Loan Information

We are working with several members on getting 401(k) loans. A lot of thanks to member Glenn Whitmire on his hard work on this issue. If you don’t yet have a 401(k) loan, you can take one out. Even if you do already have a loan, now that the strike has lasted 30 days, you can now take out a hardship loan. Call ING’s Hourly Savings Plan (HSP) Service Line at (800) 444-4015 and ask for a “hardship withdrawal”.  You can take out a new hardship loan every thirty days.  Be sure to document everything, ask for the name and title of the person you are speaking to. ING will ask the last four weeks of pay stubs from the company and a letter stating you are on strike. They are no longer asking for a letter from the company.  You can call the Service Center at (866) 562-2363 and they will fax the pay stubs to you, or you can have them fax it to the Union hall and pick them up there.  Contact a Business Representative at the Union Hall for further information and assistance.
