IAM Files New Amended NLRB Charge

Fort Worth, TX, May 29, 2012 – District Lodge 776 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) today filed an Amended Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) charge with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) over misleading and threatening mail sent earlier this month from Lockheed Martin thru ING to IAM members on strike.
The letter was directed to striking employees who have outstanding loans with the Lockheed Martin Corporation Hourly Employees Savings Plan (HSP), a 401(k) savings plan, which permits loans against employee savings.
The amended charge deals with Lockheed Martin Corporation dealing directly with all unit employees who have loans under the HSP. The direct dealing by the employer is an attempt to undermine the union’s status as the exclusive representative which we believe is a violation.
The actual amended charge and attachment can be found under the NLRB Charges section under NLRB Amended Charge 05-29-2012
